On Saturday, Bago Region Chief Minister U MyoSwe Win inspected the resilience of the Bago River flood prevention embankment.

To mitigate the risk of inundation caused by the river's surge, preparation measures are being implemented along the embankment. These include placing sandbags in low-lying areas and preparing for evacuation procedures in the event of a disaster.

The measures are currently in place in the Pan Hlaing, Kyauk Kyi Su, and Nyaung Wai areas. At present, the Bago River has exceeded its danger level, leading to flooding in some low-lying areas. Local authorities are providing assistance under close supervision of the situation.
