Flight operation: Flights regularly operated to Rakhine State

To support transportation of relief aid to Rakhine State where loss and damages were happened by the cyclonic storm and rehabilitation tasks and ensure smooth transportation access for people, officials together with departmental heads were sent to Rakhine State on 15th May to renovate Sittway Airport that was damaged a lot as quick as possible.

For the prompt renovation, the Myanmar National Airlines and the Myanmar Airways International are resuming operation of Yangon-Sittway-Yangon flight on Thursday and airlines are running regular flights to Thandwe, Kyauk Phyu and Ann airports, it is learnt.
