Flash flood hits northern Thailand town of Mae Sai on Saturday. The floods caused by heavy rains from tropical storm Mulan flooded more than 2,000 properties in the Mae Sai province.
The water flowed from the swollen river into the town, with some levels reaching over one meter high.Many local residents who were evacuated on Saturday by rescue teams, said the flood came too fast for them to move their belongings.
Thai Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department issued a continued warning for flash flooding for ten provinces in northern Thailand and a warning for rising water levels in the Mae Kong River in northeastern Thailand for the next several days.
