A group of lions briefly escaped their enclosure on Wednesday morning at Sydney's Taronga Zoo. The group comprised one adult lion and four lion cubs. Taronga Zoo Executive Director said, "The lions were observed in a small area adjacent to the main lion exhibit where a six-foot fence separated them from the rest of the zoo."

He added everyone on the site was moved to safe zones per safety protocols, while four of the lions made their way back to their main exhibit, one cub had to be tranquillized. All animals are now safe in their back-of-house exhibit and are being closely monitored.
