Fishery Sector: 400,000 fingerlings released into Ayeyawady River

On Sunday, 400,000 fingerlings were ceremoniously released into the Ayeyawady River. The event took place at Gaw Wein Jetty in Chan Aye Thazan Township and was attended by Chief Minister of the Mandalay Region U Myo Aung.

Prior to the fingerlings' release, the Chief Minister was briefed on the annual incubation process aimed at ensuring local food sufficiency and preventing the extinction of vital aquatic species as well as the production of fish feed. Then, the Chief Minister participated in the fingerling release ceremony into the Ayeyawady River, together with officials.
