Fisheries Sector: MoALI DM opened the capacity enhancement training

The Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi gave a remark at the opening ceremony of the capacity enhancement training (2/2024) for the personnel of the Fishery Department held at the Office No (36) in Nay Pyi Taw on 5th February.

Speaking at the occasion, the deputy minister said that the ministry for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is continuously implementing and supervising for the development of fisheries industry and capacity enhancement of the officials and staff members of the Fisheries Department, for the food security of fisheries sector and effective management not to damage the marine ecosystem.

For a country which is enriched with the fisheries resources in both of fresh and salt water, fisheries sector plays the vital role for the socio-economic life. It’s an industry for not only domestic consumption and but also export item fetched the foreign currency.

So, the correct conservation and management in the process of raising, capturing, production with cold storage process and exporting. The training is being attended by 26 trainees including 21 from the regions and states and five through online and the training will take place for five days, it’s learnt.
