Fish Releasing Events: Ministries in Nay Pyi Taw marks the Myanmar New Year

On the day of Myanmar New Year, meritorious deeds were performed across regions and states. In Nay Pyi Taw, the respective ministries organized fish releasing events as a customs of Myanmar tradition.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications released 9,000 fingerlings into Ngalaik Diversion Weir, with the participation of Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo who is also the member of the State Administration Council and Deputy Prime Minister, his wife, Deputy Ministers and their wives, as well as the departmental personnel and staff.

Likewise, Union Election Commission Chairman U Ko Ko and staff released 3,000 fingerlings into the Ottarathiri Dam in Ottarathiri Township. 

In addition, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations released 3,000 fingerlings into the dam, situated at the back of the Ministry. Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw and officials participate in the event together with the staff members. 

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin and wife and staff families also released 9,000 fingerlings into Mingala Lake in Zabuthiri Township.
