Fish Releasing Ceremony: Preservation of fishery resources at MoEA

The Ministry of Ethnic Affairs organized a ceremony of adding fingerlings at the compound of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. The ceremony took place aiming for the prosperity of the country, sufficiency of foodstuff, development of the fishery industry, preservation of fish resources and prevention from fish species decimation.

During the ceremony, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Minister and related officials added fingerlings which were given from the Fisheries Department to the dam of the Ministry. It’s reported that altogether 7,000 fish species were added to the dam in this ceremony.
