Fireworks light up skies over Edinburgh

Scotland heralded the new year with a spectacular firework display over Edinburgh Castle.

Tens of thousands of revelers cheered as they watched the colourful explosions overhead. It was the first time in three years that Edinburgh hosted the traditional Hogmanay celebrations. COVID-19 restrictions meant that the event had to be called off the last two years.
