Fire Safety: 3-week management course for governmental officials

Aiming to raise awareness on fire safety precaution measures, a 3-week course on fire safety management for governmental officials No. 2/2022 was conducted at Zabuthiri Township Fire Station in Nay Pyi Taw.
Completion ceremony of this fire safety management for governmental officials which was attended by 53 civil servants trainees from Union-level organizations and the ministries was successfully held on August 12.
It’s reported that so far, the Myanmar Fire Services Department has educated more than 3,000 trainees about the fire safety and precaution measures.
Thein Htun Oo, Director, Myanmar Fire Services Department said "People who can manage to prevent from fire danger in public buildings are being turned out from our Myanmar Fire Services Department. These people have to manage to prevent from fire danger behalf of the Department. "
Practical and theoretical facts such as basic concepts of fire danger, classification of fire, fire fighting in accordance with fire classification, basic fire fighting techniques, basic concepts about fire, water and heat, and fire safety and response and drawing up an emergency response plan were shared in the training course.
Thant Zin Win, Deputy Director, Myanmar Correctional Department said "In the past, what we knew was to fight against the fire with water. After attending this training, we happened to know how to fight against the fire depending on its type. "
Su Su Maw, Deputy Director, Budget Department said "I have learnt fire safety measures such as how to be aware of fire danger, how to protect, and how to respond in case of fire hazard through theoretical and practical studies."
There are 98 governmental officers from relevant organizations who have completed the training course on fire safety management for governmental officials No.1 and No.2 in Nay Pyi Taw.
