Fire Incidents: 1,203 Fires Break Out In Mandalay Region From 2016 To 2020

1,203 fire incidents broke out in Mandalay during 5 years from 2016 to 2020 and the losses were over 3.7 billion kyats, according to Mandalay Region Fire Services Head Office.

Most of the outbreaks were due to electrical short. In 2016, 212 fire incidents happened, causing the losses of more than 1.25 billion kyats. The number of fires in 2020 was 298 and the losses of prosperity were over 1.3 billion kyats. Due to the fire incidents, 3 people died in 2019 and fires claimed 13 lives and 54 injuries in 2020.
