Thein Tun Oo, Director, Myanmar Fire Brigade Headquarters said "According to the statistics, the fires mostly break out in February, March and April. In 2021, there were a total of 2,107 outbreaks of fire across the country and total losses were over 33 billion kyats. The number of fire outbreaks and losses reduced in 2022 compared to 2021. As now is the time entering the hot and dry season, the fire safety is of great importance day by day. So, fire safety activities are being conducted by raising awareness and sharing knowledge about 191 report application to public."

People must know the contact numbers of the respective Fire Services Departments and hotline number of Fire Service Department to provide timely information about the outbreaks of fire to reduce losses and damages. It’s important to receive information timely to extinguish the fire immediately to save lives and properties of the people.

People can contact the nearby Fire Services Departments through the application not only for fire outbreak but also for other humanitarian services such as traffic accidents and natural disasters.
