Fire Broke out in Gumushane, Turkey

A fire broke out in Gumushane, a city in the Black Sea Region of Turkey on Monday. The blaze quickly spread to the forest area under the influence of strong winds. In response to the emergency call, numerous teams from Fire Department, Forestry Directorate, and Provincial Special Administration, along with heavy machinery, were dispatched to the scene.

Villagers also joined the firefighting efforts. After nearly four hours of intense intervention, the fire was brought under control, but 30 hectares of grassland and oak woodland were reduced to ashes. Cooling operations are still underway, while an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
