The State Administration Council has reformed the Union Election Commission under Section 419 of the Constitution. The reformed commission, in accordance with the 5-point roadmap of the SAC, made field survey on voter lists, ballots and voting processes at 315 townships where the election was held.

During the inspection period, the commission revealed that there were 11.3 million illegal voters in the voter lists with inflated voter lists, excessive printing and distribution of ballots, illegal casting of votes, illegal advance voting in wards/village tracts, and illegal practices during the pre-election, election and post-election periods. That’s why, the 2020 multi-party general election result was annulled for being inconsistent with the constitution, the Union Election Commission Law, relevant parliamentary election laws and by laws. These findings have already been published in 5 language versions for public knowledge.

In order to launch a website and mobile application, a Website Developing Team comprising the representatives from Union Election Commission, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Information and Ministry of Science and Technology was established, and developed a work plan between July and November 2024. The Website and Application is now ready to provide useful information to the local and international observers.
