Financial Assistance: K289.9 million kyat provided to displaced persons in Mandalay

Financial assistance were provided to the people in Mandalay region who have been temporarily displaced due to terrorists acts on Satruday.

Chief Minister U Myo Aung attended the ceremony, held at  Mandalay City Hall in Chan Aye Tharzan Township. At the ceremony, 289.9 million kyats were provided for the displaced persons from Maha Aung Myay, Aung Myay Tharzan and Amarapura Districts in the region.

According to the Natural Disaster Management Law, terrorists acts and armed conflict that result in losses to the public are classified under the law of Natural Disaster. Due to the terrorist acts, people from various areas have been displaced in 24 townships of 10 districts in Mandalay Region. Under the guidance of the Head of State, 20,000 Kyats monthly provision for each individuals will be provided from January to December during 2025.
