Finalized Coordination: MoL UM UAG attended the meeting

The finalized coordination meeting regarding with the draft of amended Animal Health and Livestock Development Law was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 18th July.

The meeting was attended by the Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, Deputy Minister Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htein Lin Oo, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi and officials.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi clarified the reasons and requirements for drafting amended Animal Health and Livestock Development Law such as lack of provision for establishment of Animal Quarantine Station (AQS) in the law and there is no description for extension of slaughterhouse permit.

The Union Minister Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo said that the draft of amended Animal Health and Livestock Development Law appears to be amended for the harmony with the current situations and the finalized coordination is conducted to amend and enact that draft law, it’s learnt.
