Film Industry: Film Making Class For Youths Concluded

The closing ceremony for JCGV Toto’s Film Making Batch -1 was held in Yangon on Saturday. Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint attended the ceremony and gave an opening remark.

The JCGV’s CEO expressed gratitude for the successful completion of the Film Making Class, followed by the congratulatory remarks by the Patron of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization. Then, the documentary videos and films produced by the trainees were shown. Union Minister Dr. Pe Myint later presented the certificates of completions to the JCGV’s CEO.

The trainees studied basic film production facts and film screening process, including the script writings, portraying a character, the process of filmmaking, editing and marketing. It was conducted by local film artistes, technicians, senior and young directors, and a total of 30 youth trainees between 12 to16 years old attended the training from 1st to 8th April.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister and officials visited the JCGV Junction Square, the Thamada cinema hall, the Shae Saung cinema and the Nay Pyi Taw Cinema, and the officials explained the work undertakings.

The Union Minister and party later inspected the ventilation system of the cinema, efficient system for foot lighting, modernized and adjustable auditorium chairs and auxiliary power supply systems. At present, there are 130 cinema halls and 150 screens in Myanmar, and among them, 56 cinema halls and 69 screens are in Yangon.
