FIFA Secretary General visits Unity Pitch ahead of Women's World Cup

FIFA Secretary General FatmaSamoura recently visited a Unity Pitch in Hamilton ahead of the 2023 Women's World Cup in New Zealand and Australia. The Unity Pitch is designed to reflect the unique local cultures of the FIFA Women's World Cup host countries and the 32 nations participating in the tournament.

Hamilton is currently co-hosting the Women's World Cup inter-confederation play-offs - to decide which final three nations qualify for this year's tournament - with Auckland. Samoura sent condolences to the victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria during her visit.
