Field inspection tour: MCRD UM made inspection tour in Nay Pyi Taw

The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, together with Deputy Minister U Myint Soe and officials, conducted a field inspection within the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw on March 10 to enhance the success of oilseed crop cultivation activities.

First, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, and officials visited Taegyi Kone village in Zabuthiri Township, where they met with executives of the Agricultural Pride Cooperative and General Economic Cooperative Society, as well as sunflower oilseed crop farmers, at the village’s temporary meeting hall. Relevant officials briefed them on the cultivation of winter sunflowers in the cooperative sector within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, the experimental planting of Indian sunflower varieties such as Surakiran, and the support provided to cooperative member farmers with seeds and inputs. Based on the briefings, the Union Minister discussed matters requiring action and regional development issues, addressing the farmers’ submissions by coordinating and fulfilling their needs.

Following this, they inspected the winter sunflower cultivation sites. Subsequently, the Union Minister visited Pubbathiri Township to observe the operations of the Thar Tin Oo General Economic Cooperative Society Limited and the Kyauk Sein Agricultural and General Economic Cooperative Society Limited, which are jointly operating Ein Shin Ma oil mill.

The Union Minister provided instructions and discussed necessary actions during the inspection. Continuing their tour, the Union Minister, and party visited the Sanwati Natural Fertilizer Factory to assess its operational status. After officials briefed them on the factory’s activities, the Union Minister instructed them to strive for market access for the natural fertilizers produced by the factory. He also emphasized the need for relevant officials to coordinate with cooperative member farmers to facilitate these efforts.
