





Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, together with members of the region government, conducted field inspections Saturday afternoon in Pyay Township to promote the development of agro-based and livestock-based production businesses.
First, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Livestock Breeding Zone in Pyay. At the briefing hall, officials explained the current status of livestock breeding activities. Afterwards, they met with livestock entrepreneurs and coordinated and provided the necessary support.
They then inspected and encouraged the breeding of local cattle, local chickens, local goats and broiler chickens in the livestock breeding zone.
They also conducted a field inspection of the site where a Check-Dam will be constructed across a stream to ensure an adequate supply of drinking water for the livestock breeding zone, and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
Next, they visited the SOGO water tank and ice box manufacturing workshop owned by entrepreneur U Kyin Oo in the Nawaday Industrial Zone in Pyay. They also inspected the production of fuel briquettes from waste rice husks generated by the “Chinthe Min ” rice mill owned by entrepreneur U Tin Hla.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials arrived at the Pyay Industrial Zone Management Committee Office, where they met with responsible officials and gave necessary instructions.
They also inspected the production of locally blended poultry feed using locally sourced raw materials as a substitute for imported feed, being carried out by entrepreneur Daw Htay Htay Maw, as well as her breeding of 10,000 laying hens.
The arrangements were also made in coordination with the relevant officials to provide the necessary support for expanding the breeding of not only laying hens but also broiler chickens, it’s reported.
