Festive Activities in Taunggyi: Oil lamps Procession and hot air balloons releasing

On the Full Moon Day of Tazaungmone on November 15th, a procession of decorated oil lamps was held in Taunggyi of Shan State.

About 1,000 participants from 22 wards in the town joined the procession, organized by the State Government. The procession started from the State Sports Ground, and marched along Bogyoke Aung San Road till Sula Muni Lawka Chan Tha Pagoda.

Chief Minister U Aung Aung and wife together with the officials enjoyed the procession together with the residents. At Awaiyar Hot Air Balloon Releasing Ground, the Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Hot Air Balloon Releasing Competition continued with the release of Nya Mee Gyi and Sein Na Pan hot air balloons, along with the entertainment programs.

The event attracted crowds of visitors, enjoying the release of hot air balloons. The Chief Minister and party also enjoyed the competition and participated in the release of small hot air balloons.
