Fashion week: Louis Vuitton runway show at the Louvre

In Anne of Austria's summer apartments at the Louvre Palace, Louis Vuitton unveiled its Women’s Spring-Summer 2026 collection in Paris on Tuesday. A show was marked by the presence of numerous celebrities and artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière.

Styled as a contemporary apartment inside the Louvre, the set pushed the idea of private elegance into public spectacle, while Cate Blanchett’s reading of David Byrne lyrics kept the mood reflective. Ghesquière said “the collection is a celebration of intimacy and the boundless freedom of the private sphere, an exploration of archetypes of genre and the ultimate luxury of dressing for oneself.”
