Farmland Management: Committee meeting held in Tanintharyi Region

Tanintharyi Region Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Committee meeting and Farmland Management Committee meeting were held at the Regional Government Office in Dawei on 2nd January.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Committee, Chief Minister U Myat Ko stressed on accelerating paddy and coffee plantations within the region to meet the targeted yield. He also emphasized on betel plantations and instructed to grow coffee occasionally under multi-cropping system to increase the income of the growers.

For fishery sector, the Chief Minister stressed to accelerate the shrimp farming. Then, the secretary of the committee clarified the current work implementations and the Chief Minister coordinated necessities.
