Farmers’ Forum: Sharing agricultural knowledge

Farmer’s Forum was held at the Department of Agriculture Research in Yezin, Zeyathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw on 5th August. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut encouraged the researchers, experts and concerned officials to conduct the knowledge sharing sessions regularly for the effective changes in implementing tasks.

He pointed out that the agricultural knowledge have to share through Farmer Channel and other social media platforms and to enhance the collaboration tasks between farmers and experts. In this context, Farmer’s Forum is a Smart Movement which is being jointly conducted by the researchers, experts and concerned officials. 

Then, Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw encouraged the departmental officials and farmers to collaborate in implementation tasks to receive sufficient water supply for the farmlands due to water shortage in dams and reservoirs caused by climate changes. Then, the Farmers’ Forum continued.
