Illegal subversive media outlets have been disseminating fake news on social media platforms, accusing members of the security forces of looting valuable properties from displaced houses in Dhammathat Village and nearby villages in Kyaikmaraw Township of Mon State.

A security officer has refuted these claims, stating that many buildings in the villages have been damaged due to destructive acts by terrorists. The security forces are engaged in mine clearing tasks to ensure public safety, collaborating with local residents.

On March 24th, members of the KNU who support terrorism, NMSP AD (Mon Separatist Group), and PDF terrorists launched attacks on departmental buildings and police stations in Dhammathat Village and nearby areas, forcing local residents to flee their homes.

In response, military columns initiated a Counter-Terrorism Operation to facilitate the resettlement of local people. Control over Dhammathat Village and nearby areas was regained on April 25th, and rehabilitation measures are now underway in cooperation with the local community.

The illegal subversive media outlets, along with those who seek to disrupt community peace and tranquility, are spreading false information to divert attention from their terrorist activities.
