Fake News: Rumors of chemical attacks

In response to recent social media rumors alleging daily air strikes and the use of chemical weapons in Htee Chaint Township of Sagaing Region, the Tatmadaw has denied such claims.

The Information Officer of ABSDF Military Column (1) reportedly shared the information, asserting that some members of the resistance force fell victim to chemical bombs. The Tatmadaw refutes these allegations, maintaining that they have never employed chemical weapons in any engagement.

They argue that such fabricated news emerges when groups like the KIA and PDF terrorists suffer significant losses, attributing the misinformation to destructive media outlets. It is emphasized that the Tatmadaw remains committed to combating terrorism, aiming to ensure regional stability and uphold the rule of law.
