Factory Tour : Senior General visits factories in Meiktila

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited the Tatmadaw Textile and Garment Factory in Meiktila on Friday.

He heard reports on machinery performance, production of various types of yarn and garments, and staff welfare programs. The Senior General emphasized the importance of product quality over quantity and called for meeting domestic demand. The Senior General later viewed the display of textiles and garment, and inspected the operation processes of spinning and weaving sections.

He also gave guidance on further improvements, and presented cash assistance to factory staff. Later in the day, the Senior General and party visited the No. (3) Cement Plant, where the Chairman of Myanmar Economic Corporation reported on work undertakings, production capacity and distribution of cement.

The Senior General instructed for domestic cement production, pricing strategies, and maximizing production capacity. He then inspected operation processes and provided cash assistance to staff members.
