Experience Sharing Session : Sharing experience for development of tourism industry

Experience sharing session of the officials under the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism who visited foreign countries as delegations was held at the Ministry on Wednesday.

The session shared the experiences on attending the 8th Eastern Economic Forum which was held at Vladivostok in Russian Federation from 20th to 23rd September 2023 and Seminar on Cooperation on Cross-border Tourism under Lancang-Mekong Cooperation that took place at Chongqing in People’s Republic of China from 20th to 30th August 2023.

Then, the officials answered the questions raised by the attendees. After the discussion, the Union Minister emphasized that as the Ministry, it is needed to implement investment opportunities for international investment in country’s tourism industry, to make preparations for implementation of digital and online tourism including Cross-border tourism and to arrange government-private Virtual Tourism Forum for more entry of visitors.

She added that statistic plays a vital role for the development of tourism sector, that’s why, it’s necessary to conduct research works continuously. She also stressed the need to send tourism promotion facts to Myanmar embassies in foreign countries and to carry out advertising processes for increasing number of visitors to world heritage sites in Myanmar.
