Expansion of water supply project : NPT Council Chairman inspected project implementation

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, accompanied by council members, the Deputy Mayor of the Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee and relevant officials, conducted an inspection of the expansion status of the water supply project from the ChaungMaNge Dam through SinOhn Lake on 21st October.

During their visit, they received reports from an official of the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) on expansion efforts to supply six million gallons of water daily. Subsequently, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman instructed a systematic assessment of the water supply population, eliminate water shortages in existing supply areas and prevent pipe leakages, while also calling for educational initiatives to promote water conservation practices among the community.
