Executive Committee Meeting: ASEANSAI holds 5th Meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

Office of the Union Auditor-General held the 5th Executive Committee Meeting of the Association of Auditors-General of Southeast Asian Nations in a virtual format. The meeting was attended by the Myanmar delegation led by Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo from the Office of the Union Auditor-General in Nay Pyi Taw, delegations led by the Association of Auditors-General of Southeast Asian Nations Vice-Chair Auditor-General of the Philippines Mr. Gamaliel A Cordoba, Secretary-General Mr. BahtiarArif and the delegation from the Office of the Auditor-General of Thailand.

Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo delivered an opening speech and explained the preparation of the Association of Auditors-General of Southeast Asian Nations’ 7th high-ranking officials’ meeting as the host country. The auditor-general of the Philippines informed that the Office of the Auditor-General of the Philippines is preparing to host the Association of Auditors-General of Southeast Asian Nations’ 7th Summit.

And, the Secretary-General discussed and presented issues of the Association of Auditors-General of Southeast Asian Nations’ financial statements, the extension of the Secretary-General’s term of office and a brief account of Timor Leste, which will become a new ASEAN member state. Also, the Union auditor-general clarified future programmes before giving a closing speech.
