Exchange Views: MoIP Union Minister received UNHCR delegation

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi received UNHCR delegation led by the resident representative Ms. Hai Kyung Jun at the ministry in Nay Pyi Tawon Friday.

During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on the matters of implementation of MoU between the Ministry and UNDP-UNHCR, status of allowing travel and work undertakings regarding with the humanitarian assistance in Buthidaung and Maungtaw region under the Mou, Myanmar’s coordination with Bangladesh for the repatriation of displaced persons, according to the repatriation process, the findings from the scrutinizing of the ministry on the sending data of displaced persons by the Bangladesh and completion of replying, opening of repatriation centers and arrangements for the resettlement to accept the displaced persons, the providing assistance in constructive way by UNHCR and to put efforts for the implementation of Myanmar to be understood by the international organizations.
