A rescue excavation was initiated in the central district of Burdur in Turkiye, to unearth archaeological treasures dating back to the Bronze Age.

This excavation took place within the boundaries of a first-degree natural protected area. The Burdur Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism announced that a decision had been taken to carry out scientific excavations in the region, in order to protect the remains of historical settlements identified in previous surveys from damage caused by natural factors such as rain and wind. The excavations will continue until the end of August in the area.
