Evacuation efforts underway amid heavy floods in Xizang

Rescuers have evacuated over 300 people trapped by devastating floods in Shigatse City, located in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region.

The region has faced heavy rain-triggered floods and landslides over the past four days, resulting in significant damage to several provincial highway sections in Dinggye County.

These floods have also led to widespread power outages and disrupted telecommunications in the hardest-hit areas.A joint rescue team, composed of first responders from both Shigatse City and Dinggye County, has been actively engaged in rescue and disaster relief efforts since the onset of the crisis.
