





Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs, JengPhangNawTaung, along with Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung and officials, convened a meeting with Ethnic Literature and Culture Organizations in Mon State on March 19th.
The Union Minister underscored the ministry's objectives to promote ethnic literature and culture while enhancing health, education, and socio-economic development. He urged organizations to align their activities with relevant laws and by-laws.
Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung emphasized the importance of registration under the Registration of Associations Law to access official assistance. Attendees highlighted needs in ethnic affairs and regional development. Cash assistance of 500,000 kyats was provided to each organization representing Mon, Kayin, Bamar, and Pa-O.
Additionally, certificates of honor were awarded to companies contributing to the conservation of Mon traditional attire throughout history.
