




Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, along with his entourage, the Shan State Chief Minister, Eastern Command Commander, and officials, oversaw the construction of the Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center in Taunggyi on Sunday.
Deputy Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Zaw Aye Maung provided updates on the construction works. After hearing the reports, the Prime Minister instructed for systematic road connection to the center, beautifying the compound, and making arrangements for accommodation and catering services for the trainees once it opens.
They then inspected the progress of the construction works. The construction of the Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center began in 2022 with the aim of conducting vocational training courses for the socio-economic development of ethnic communities in Shan State. It also aims to facilitate cultural exchange programs among the ethnic people, support regional stability, rule of law, and development, and narrow the development gap among the Mekong Region countries.
