




Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint met with the ethnic literature and culture committees in the Kayin State at MoEA director office in Hpa-An Township in the afternoon on November 5.
At the meeting, the Union Minister explained the efforts of the ministry for the development of the ethnic people, objective for the ethnic people included in the 9 objectives of the State Administration Council, the importance of preserving ethnic people’s literature, language, culture and traditional heritages and the prevailing of peace for the next generation, Pan Khin Project and protection of sovereignty of the country by all national races etc.
Next, the kayin State minister for ethnic affairs U San Ko clarified the work implementations of the ethnic affairs and Kayin, Mon, Bamar, Pa-O and Shan literature and culture committees reported related matters and the union minister and state minister supplemented necessaries.
Then, the union minister provided cash assistance for the safeguarding and uplifting of literature and culture of the ethnic people and gave a speech of conclusion.
