Ethnic Affairs: Union Minister meets with regions and states ministers

A meeting was held on Thursday with the regions and states ministers for ethnic affairs. During the meeting at the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint stressed that ethnic affairs ministers, in addition to their main tasks, need to learn about Myanmar's geopolitics and world geopolitics.

The Ministry is responsible for achieving more ethnic unity and peace, he added. Also, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing held talks with the title of International Affairs Update News and things that should be done to strengthen ethnic unity.

And, the regions and states ministers for ethnic affairs reported on their works and raised questions. Deputy Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Zaw Aye Maung also made a discussion. Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint urged the ethnic affairs ministers to increase their efforts on development of ethnic literature and culture, protection of ethnic rights, ethnic unity, peace and development issues.
