





Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint met with ethnic literature and culture groups in Bago Region.
During the meeting on Saturday at the Director Office in Bago, the Union Minister said that the ministry always carries out field survey to ensure that the rights of the ethnic groups are not harmed during the implementation of the projects in the ethnic areas.
It’s is also coordinating with the Ministry of Education to hire more ethnic language teachers and also with relevant ministries and state/region governments for development of education, health, social, economic and transportation sectors among the less developed ethnic groups and their regions in various regions/states.
Also, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung highlighted enactment of the Ethnic Rights Protection Law and by-law. Ethnic groups must live together in peace. All must work together to make the country peaceful and advance the country's national interests, he added. And, the Union Minister and the Deputy Minister provided cash to the Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan and PaO ethnic literature and culture groups.
