Ethnic Affairs : MOEA Union Minister meets Ethnic Associations and staff

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung held meetings with Ethnic Literature and Cultural Associations and staff from the ministry in Ayeyarwady and Bago Regions on the 26th and 27th of August.

During the meetings, the Union Minister discussed matters related to the appointment of Teaching Assistants and Language Teachers, systematic registration of ethnic literature and cultural associations, systematic land utilization for development projects, socio-economic development work, and tackling disputes among the ethnic nationalities.

After the meetings, cash assistance was provided for Kayin, Chin (Asho), Mon, and Rakhine Literature and Cultural Associations. In the meeting with the staff, the Union Minister instructed them to carry out their tasks in line with the laws and bylaws and to engage in constant learning for capacity building.
