Erling Haaland signed a new 9.5-year contract with Manchester City, extending his stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2034. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but it is considered one of the most lucrative contracts in sports history. The new agreement also removed the buy-out clauses that were part of his initial contract.

Erling Haaland, Manchester City forward said "And yeah, I'm going to stay for a long time so now I can fully focus on getting better because I'm going to stay for such a long time so full focus on performing, on getting better and to give all the fans what they want."

Haaland, 24, had previously been linked with a move to Spain, but this new contract will keep him at City beyond his 33rd birthday. Since joining the club in 2022, Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 games and won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and the Champions League.
