Erdogan vows to protect workers’ rights on Labor Day

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with representatives of workers, civil servants, and employers on the occasion of May 1st, Labor and Solidarity Day. He emphasized that protecting the rights of workers has always been a top priority for his government. 

They will make every effort to ensure the Century of Türkiye becomes the century of labor and hard work” Erdogan said. He noted that during his administration, employment policies had gained speed and effectiveness, and broad reforms had been implemented in working life. Ministers attending the reception also emphasized the significance of May 1st and the value of labor.
