Erdogan made a speech Manzirekt victory anniversary

President of Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the 952nd anniversary celebrations of Manzikert Victory in the Ahlat district of Bitlis. Turks accepted the victory as a cornerstone that opened the way of Anatolia to Turkish tribes from Central Asia.

The Battle was fought near the town in August 1071. This victory led the establishment of the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkiye. The President said, this legacy will be left to young people.
