Erdogan calls for unity

President of the Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, following a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin the previous day. 

Highlighting the significance of the back-to-back talks, Erdogan said a new window of opportunity has emerged to bring the war to an end. 

“At this stage, Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and European countries are in agreement on holding talks. As the only country that has earned the trust of all parties, they reiterated our readiness to contribute to these negotiations and their willingness to host them. God willing, they believe this time the opportunity will not be wasted, he noted.”
