Erdogan and al-Thani sign cooperation deals

Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul Friday, to sign new cooperation agreements. The 11 signed agreements cover areas ranging from diplomacy to media, tourism and disaster and emergency management.

The visit is part of the "Supreme strategic committee," a diplomatic mechanism between Qatar and Türkiye. State-run Anadolu Agency reported that during the meeting, Erdogan and Al Thani "held one-on-one talks on bilateral and regional issues."
