Environmental conservation: MoNREC Union Minister received India Ambassador

The Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi received Ambassador of the Republic of India to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Vinay Kumar at the parlor of the Minister’s Office, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on April 3rd.

At the call, they cordially exchanged views on the mitigation of climate change and protection of forests for the environmental conservation between the two countries, giving priority on the forest conservation in the national level climate change mitigation process to reduce the emition of CO2, implementation of agreement on tiger and wildlife conservation, capacity enhancement in the environmental conservation sector, cooperation in the technology and expertise and the prospect of collaboration in mining sector.

Also present at the call were the deputy minister U Min Thu, permanent secretary, directors general, managing directors, rector and officials and the representatives from the India embassy to Myanmar.
