Environmental Conservation: Ministry of Home Affairs holds tree-planting ceremony

Ministry of Home Affairs held the 2023 monsoon tree-planting ceremony in Dekkhinathiri Township on Friday.

In this ceremony, member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Lt-Gen Soe Htut said that monsoon tree-planting ceremonies are held every year to value and preserve trees and plant more trees to create many benefits for the country.

Forests and trees are very important for the human environment in order to protect the environment and protect valuable ecosystems from being lost. Forests and trees conserve water and resources to harmonize the environment and ecosystem, the Union Minister added.

And, the Union Minister and party planted 1,200 trees including teak in the designated area. It’s reported that the Ministry planted over 40,000 trees on the 16th of June in designated places.
