Entry prohibited to Tayrona National Park, Colombia

Tayrona National Park, is a protected natural area on Colombia's Caribbean coast near the city of Santa Marta.

Authorities have ordered the temporary closure of the park, thereby prohibiting visitors from entering the famous tourist destination due to a series of incidents that compromise visitor safety and also led to the suspension of boat sailings toward Tayrona’s beaches by the maritime authority as a precautionary safety measure. Relevant authorities will maintain the ban on entry until stability is restored.
