English Refresher Course: MOFA Union Minister addressed the closing ceremony

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe delivered the closing speech at English Refresher Course for Officials (1/2023) and English Proficiency Course for Staff (1/2023), which was held at the Law Ka Nat Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw, at 10:00 a.m. on 21st July.

At the closing ceremony, U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for Ministry of International Cooperation, U Kyaw Myo Htut, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Director-Generals, Deputy Director-Generals, Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lecturers from Naypyitaw State Academy and trainees were also presented.

These training courses lasted respectively for the officials and the staff for eight weeks from 30th May to 21st July 2023, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

In the English Refresher Course for Officials, it was conducted to polish Basic English 4 Skills, Note Verbal Writing, Speech Writing, and Congratulatory Message Writing, Preparing a Conference meeting, Intercultural Communication Training, Presentation Skills and Public Speaking Skills by the Lecturers from Nay Pyi Taw State Academy (NSA).

In the English Proficiency Course for Staff, it was conducted to promote Basic English 4 Skills, Grammar Pattern, Communication and Presentation Skills, Organizing Curriculum Vitae, Emailing, Visa Application, Communication at the bank and Intercultural Communication Training by the Lecturers from Nay Pyi Taw State Academy (NSA).

Altogether 57 trainees from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of International Cooperation attended. During the courses, the Lecturers from Naypyitaw State Academy (NSA)conducted lectures on the writing and communication skills with English Language and the trainees would be able to apply effectively in their practical field with knowledge and experiences which gained from these courses.
