Energy Sector: Union Minister inspects oil wells in Minbu Township

Union Minister for Energy U Myo Myint Oo on Saturday made inspections in the HtaukSharPin-Kani Oil Field in Minbu Township of Magway Region.

First, at the briefing hall of the oil well No. 883, the Union Minister heard report on extraction of crude oil and plans to drill more wells.

In his response, he said that in order to reduce the importation of oil and oil-related products from abroad and in accordance with the plan to improve domestic production, efforts should be made to explore and produce oil from oil fields by all means.

There, the Union Minister provided fruits and foods. He also inspected and approved the sites where the oil well BK-3901 and PK-4801 will be drilled. Also, at the site in the Mann oil field where the well No. 671 will be extracted, the Union Minister heard report on drilling and oil and natural gas exploration and production plans and gave necessary instructions.
