



Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han held a coordination meeting with the district and township electric power manager and engineers in the afternoon on October 2nd regarding to collect remaining unpaid electricity bills, to supply more electricity and the stable and improve power system currently supplying.
In his opening remark, the union minister said that the ministry is putting efforts to generate more electric power from the available sources including renewable energy sources to meet the more requirements of electricity utilization of the country.
The Prime Minister gave a guidance to generate the electricity in the respective regions and states apart from the Ministry of Electric Power. In accordance with the Prime Minister’s guidance, the ministry is cooperating with the regions and states by sending survey teams from the ministry.
The union minister also gave necessary instructions to expand the power lines and supply, static power, reduce the power outage and losses of power etc.
Next, the acting chairman of Mandalay Electricity Supply Corporation, members of directors and Chief Executive Officer clarified the status of supplying electric power to the districts and townships in Mandalay Region, condition of collecting and receiving remained unpaid electricity bills and plans to collect the unpaid bills to receive in cent per cent.
Upon the clarification, the union minister coordinated necessaries and gave a speech of conclusion, it’s reported.
